Photos of our Day out in London

George, Anne-Marie and Richard from the Bath Dist. Tibet Support Group decided at the last minute to go to London and protest against the actions of the Chinese Communist Party in Tibet.  Being our usual disorganised selves, we got to Buck Palace by 10am and had no idea where we were supposed to meet the rest of the Tibet supporters.  There were huge numbers of pro Chinese supporters and it took us a while to get through onto the Mall itself.  Then we realised that the Tibet supporters were on the other side of the Mall and we could not get across.

We had brought 3 Tibetan national flags with us but no poles, so we found some sticks in the local park.  George and I then unfurled our flags and for the first minute nobody noticed then the Chinese attention kicked in and we were surrounded by dragons and flags.

One dragon got too close to the pro-Tibet protestors and was moved on.Human rights protestors clashed with pro-China…
