Our 20th Cafe Momo – 30th Oct 2016

Our 20th Cafe saw a stead stream of customers who enjoyed the Momes, soups and cake.  We made £209 for Free Tibet.  Valerie’s talk on Mount Kailash went down very well and the pictures were great.  A summary of the talk is given below.

Mt. Kailash is a mountain in the Kailash Range (Gangdise peaks), which figures element of the Trans Himalaya in Tibet. It locates near the foundation of some of the longest rivers in Asia: the Indus River, the Sutlej River (A major stream of the Indus River), the Brahmaputra River, and the Karnali River (a stream of the River Ganga). It is believed or considered a scared place in four religions; Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bon. The mountain locates near Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshastal in Tibet.  The mountain is recognized as Kailash in Sanskrit. The word may be derived from the work Kelasa which means crystal.alk around …if you have the stamina!
